During our annual reading week, the Bachpan community transformed classrooms, corridors, and the library into spaces for imagination, conversation, and shared discovery.
Creating joyful reading habits
The week featured author visits, reading challenges, story circles, and quiet reading time in the library. Students were encouraged to explore genres beyond their usual favourites and to share recommendations with classmates.
Teachers also helped students connect reading with empathy, vocabulary growth, confidence, and self-expression. Younger students enjoyed read-aloud moments, while older students led book talks and peer recommendations.
